Protein + Collagen Matcha Recipe

as i have gotten more into my fitness + wellness journey, changing the way i eat has been something really important to me. i don't want to live overly restrictive and i'm still not perfect at it, but i've improved on making small changes in my day and this is one of them!


i love a good vanilla matcha, and prioritizing protein is huge for me, especially with the amount of working out i do, upping my protein intake is always something i'm thinking about.

1-1.5 tsp matcha powder

unsweetened almond milk (i like to use the califia farms brand)

vanilla flavored collagen protein powder

  • first i take about 3 scoops of my collagen protein powder of choice (this is equivalent to about 21g of protein / 24g of collagen peptides) and whisk it into 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk.

  • in a separate cup or small bowl i whisk 1-1.5 tsp of matcha powder with a bit of hot water

  • add ice and pour the matcha over top

it takes me just a few minutes and is an easy protein boost to start my day. i like to have it alongside my breakfast of a few eggs or something to really get in that protein before or after my morning workout!
